Meet Beba
Scarred but unbroken, she's ready to find a permanent home
Beba's Journey
Beba was born as stray cat near Maria's backyard. For months, she lived quietly with her siblings, until Maria noticed something was wrong with Beba's eyes.

Family Portrait
Maria raced Beba to a vet, which revealed serious trauma to both eyes. Beba's right eye had to be removed, and while the left eye was saved, it's now permanently scarred. She was also diagnosed as FIV-positive.

After First Surgery
Thankfully, Maria sponsored all of Beba's veterinary care. Beba went to recover with foster parents Agustín and Sofía, who nursed her back to health.
Complications
Unfortunately, Beba's eye socket kept leaking fluid and becoming infected. Eye specialists recommended a second operation to remove residual tissue and tear glands left behind in the first surgery.

Her Recovery
Surgeons removed the remaining tear gland tissue. After this procedure, Beba never suffered another infection and healed fully, though she still needs daily eye drops to protect her good eye.

A New Lease on Life
What makes Beba truly remarkable isn't just her survival, it's her spirit. She can be shy at first, but despite everything, she's affectionate, curious, and playful. After two surgeries and months of care, Beba is now ready for her forever home.
